Awards

Ginger Ambler, Ph.D. in Higher Ed., won the 2006 Thatcher Award. Ginger is Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at William & Mary. Three of the EPPL-Gifted Education students were honored this November in Charlotte, North Carolina at the National Association for Gifted Children Conference.

Bess Worley received the Hollingworth Award for her dissertation on specialized art schools. 

Mandy Fordham received one of five non-doctoral awards nationally for her work in gifted education in our master's program in EPPL. 

Tamra Stambaugh received one of five awards nationally for her work in doctoral studies. Each award carries with it a scholarship check and plaque.

Marriages

Franklin (Chip) Phillips, current Ph.D. student, and Lauren Elizabeth King married June 30, 2006 in Jamaica.
